SimpleStay Chatuchak Hotel Bangkok Review
Bangkok has some of the best quality budget hotels for a metropolitan city. Which is great for tourists visiting the city for the first time and don’t want to overspend.
When I learned about SimpleStay Chatuchak Hotel, I was surprised to see a B1200 per night price tag. Even better, that’s the price for two adults and one child (under 12 years).
And if you’re traveling solo, it’s about B900 per night. Not bad for a 15 square meter sized room. You can find these deals and reviews of SimpleStay Chatuchak Hotel on Agoda.com.
More details about these room types below.
It’s All About the Location
SimpleStay Chatuchak is a short distance from the southwest entrance of Bangkok’s famous Chatuchak Weekend Market, about 300 meters.
Even better, this new budget hotel in Bangkok is a 250 meter to the MRT Kamphaeng Phet station (Exit/Entry 1). You can enter this station and walk down to Exit/Entry 2, which leads you right into Chatuchak Weekend Market.
So there’s no need to wait for traffic lights. There are few other points of interest in the area below.
SimpleStay Chatuchak Double Bedroom

These rooms are 15 square meters. And this hotel was built last year. Which means the rooms are clean and fresh. Most importantly, the electrical power sockets are 220V. There are even USB 2.0 sockets.
And these electrical sockets are close to the bed. Which is important cause at my age I don’t want to get up all the time to check if my phone is charged.

The bathroom is a bit tight, but functional and gets the job done. However, the shower space feels a bit claustrophobic.
At least the water is nice and hot with decent water pressure.

SimpleStay Chatuchak Single Bed
Great news for solo travelers who don’t want to stay in a hostel. This hotel has single bedrooms, but it’s still spacious at 15 square meters.
There’s even a small worktable perfect for digital nomads since the WiFi at this hotel is stable and good enough for online work.

What’s This Area Like?
Chatuchak Weekend Market (CWM) is the biggest draw near the SimpleStay Chatuchak Hotel. But keep in mind, CWM is open fully on weekends. Weekdays, it’s partial.
But there’s also Or Tor Gor Market, an incredible food court mostly visited by locals. And if you love fruit, that’s where you go, especially for the king of stinky fruit, durian. This popular food market is open every day.
Then there’s DD Mall, a flea that’s quite fun to wander around. And also JJ Mall, which sorta like CWM and sells the same stuff.
There are things to do around like the Children’s Discovery Museum if you’ve got kids.
